Michael Mauti is making a strong impression with the Saints in 2016.
The former Penn State linebacker was named a special teams captain earlier this season and is also getting opportunities on the New Orleans defense. He made the most of a big one Sunday afternoon.
In the second quarter against the Giants, Mauti sacked and stripped quarterback Eli Manning. It was the first sack of Mauti’s career.

This is not the first time Mauti has forced a turnover with the Saints. Last season he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.
In two games this season, Mauti has five tackles to go with that sack. You can view what he said to reporters after the Saints loss to the Giants here.
