Twitter reacts to Penn State’s decision to kick a field goal down 28-0 to Michigan
Down 28-0 in the third quarter and faced with a fourth-and-goal from the Michigan 2-yard line, Penn State coach James Franklin decided to kick a field goal.
To say Nittany Lions fans were unhappy is an understatement.

Kicking a field goal here should get Franklin canned…still would be a 4 possession game you lunatic

Before Penn State could get the kick off, it was forced to call a timeout with the play clock winding down. It looked like Franklin may reconsider…
Penn State lined up to kick a field goal on 4th-and-goal from the 2, down 28-0. Luckily, they called timeout.

@GregPickel if he's taking a timeout to save a 21 yard field goal from becoming a 26 yarder, they should pack up the bus now.

If Penn State comes out of this timeout and still lines up for a field goal… pic.twitter.com/EWKmRdKl4B

And…
He's still kicking the field goal? pic.twitter.com/1h1BZtaClc

Still field goal. Hits it. Now 28-3. Ok…

And Tyler Davis hits the 21-yard field goal. James Franklin should walk back to State College.
Michigan 28, Penn State 3

That must be our game winning field goal for when we score our 4 touch downs.
