Steelers hiring former Penn State assistant Tom Bradley
Former Penn State assistant coach Tom Bradley is headed to the Steelers as Pittsburgh’s secondary coach.
Bradley was a longtime Penn State assistant under Joe Paterno, serving with the Nittany Lions for 37 years as a player, grad assistant and coach. He assumed the position of interim head coach after Penn State fired Paterno in 2011 and coached four games for the Nittany Lions. Bradley did not stick around when the school hired Bill O’Brien as its permanent head coach after the 2011 season, serving in radio before catching on as an assistant at West Virginia. He was UCLA’s defensive coordinator from 2014 to 2017.
Bradley’s brother James Bradley serves as a team doctor for the Steelers.
