The State College Police Department responded to a celebrating crowd of between 5,000 and 10,000 people after Penn State’s 24-21 home win against No. 2 Ohio State. The crowed came together in the 200 block of East Beaver Avenue.
According to a news release, it took police more than two hours to clear streets and there are several arrests pending. The release said no officers were injured during the incident. The release said the crowd was made up of mostly college-aged men and women.

The crowd, which consisted mostly of college age men and women, damaged several street lights and street signs and started small fires in the street.
During the disturbance one vehicle was damaged and one person was injured when he was struck in the head with a bottle. The injured subject was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.
