The 2017-18 season came to a close on Thursday night for Penn State when the team defeated Utah in the NIT championship, 82-66.
While the Nittany Lions ended their season the best way they could, senior Shep Garner made two 3-pointers, which is what he does best. By making those two shots, Garner lifted his season total for made 3-pointers to 120.
With 120, the senior closed his collegiate career with the most made 3-pointers in Big Ten history, passing Shawn Respert of Michigan State, who made 119 during the 1994-95 season.
