Ever since Saquon Barkley was taken with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, the former Penn State running back has become a fan favorite in New York.
Even though Barkley has yet to play in a game for the team, the Giants and their fans already have given him a nickname based on his large legs. The nickname is “Saquad,” a reference to Barkley’s massive quad muscles.
This nickname came to be when Barkley threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a New York Yankees game last week. Check out Barkley’s quad muscles below:

Although Barkley’s teammate Odell Beckham Jr. is all in on the nickname, Barkley does not appear to be a big fan of it, as you can see in the Twitter exchange below:
Oh nah that gotta stop 😂😂

Beckham believes the nickname will stick, whether Barkley likes it or not.
Lil bra , just let it happen 😂😂 https://t.co/H8lOGQ8vpv

Considering Barkley’s quad muscles aren’t going anywhere, Beckham has a point. There’s also a good chance that Barkley earns himself another nickname through his play on the field. We’ll have to wait and see. But for now, it looks like “Saquad” will continue as Barkley’s nickname.
