Saquon Barkley has answered an endless list of questions in the days leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft. But he instantly knew the answer to something he was asked on an episode of Complex’s Sneaker Shopping this week.
Barkley was asked what his first big purchase would be after he inks his lucrative rookie contract with whichever NFL team drafts him. The former Penn State star did not hesitate.

“That’s easy. The first big thing I’m going to buy is my mom a house,” Barkley said. “My parents are everything to me, and all the sacrifices I made, I wouldn’t be the man I am today without those two — my mom and my father. So definitely going to buy those two a house that they can call home and not have to worry about anything.”
Barkley was born in the Bronx, but his parents — Alibay Barkley and Tonya Johnson — moved to Coplay, Pa. when he was young. His full interview on Sneaker Shopping can be found below.
