It’s looking unlikely that Saquon Barkley will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft with the Cleveland Browns eyeing a quarterback with the top selection. So where will Barkley go?
According to ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay, Barkley is the “odds-on favorite” to go No. 2 in the draft to the New York Giants.
Speaking on SportsCenter on Tuesday morning, McShay said that the star running back out of Penn State would be the most likely option for the Giants, assuming they keep the second overall pick.
“Worst-case scenario, it’s No. 4 for Saquon Barkley from Penn State. But to me, he’s the odds-on favorite for the New York Giants at No. 2,” McShay said. “The Buffalo Bills want to move up to that No. 2 spot and take a quarterback. I don’t know if they’re going to get a deal done. … I think when it’s all said and done [the Giants] stay there.
“If Josh Allen goes to Cleveland at No. 1 — the quarterback out of Wyoming — then they have a tough decision to make between USC quarterback Sam Darnold, Barkley and Bradley Chubb, the N.C State defensive end. But at the end of the day, though, I think Barkley is the favorite to go at No. 2.”
Barkley was the No. 4 pick with Chubb going second to the Giants in Land of 10’s latest mock draft.
