Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley announced on Wednesday that he has signed with Roc Nation Sports, Jay Z’s sports-representation business.
Barkley, who revealed his decision to enter the 2018 NFL Draft on Sunday, made his latest announcement with an Instagram post that features a picture of him with Jay Z.

Barkley also shared a photo of himself with Kim Miale, who will represent him.
“Excited to share that I’ve signed with Kim Miale of Roc Nation Sports,” Barkley wrote. “So happy to join the @rocnation family and have the opportunity to pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.”
In an article by ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Barkley explained why he chose to sign with Roc Nation Sports.
“It was a really easy decision,” Barkley told ESPN. “A lot of people came around my way, but they were focused on me and they did a great job at selling my family on setting me up for life, bringing value outside of football. I felt like it was harder for other agencies to pitch that family feel when they were working with 30 or 40 guys.”
Roc Nation Sports has a history of representing some of the top running backs to enter the NFL draft in recent years, including Todd Gurley and Leonard Fournette.
