Hines, listed at 6 feet 2.5 and 222 pounds, is ranked No. 85 in the nation by 247Sports. Hines, from Plano, Texas, is that state’s 11th-best recruit. Hines’ team, Plano East High School, has a bye this week.
In 2015, Hines had 205 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
Hines visited Texas A&M during the Aggies’ win against UCLA. According to Powers, Hines is still planning on announcing his commitment on Nov. 29. Along with Texas A&M and Penn State, Hines has offers from Auburn, Ohio State, Oklahoma and many others.
