Penn State players, coaches and fans are obviously disappointed the Nittany Lions won’t play in the College Football Playoff.
When the final CFP rankings were announced Sunday, Penn State finished No. 5, just missing out on the playoff.
But as the Big Ten champion, the Nittany Lions (11-2) are trying to remain positive by looking at what’s ahead: The Rose Bowl.
Penn State coach James Franklin talked up his team and his pride while on ESPN not many minutes after he found out his team wouldn’t make the CFP. While that was happening, Nittany Lions players went to Twitter and showed their excitement for the Rose Bowl.
Well, most players seem excited about it. A couple players criticized the committee for leaving out Penn State.
