The Penn State-Pitt football rivalry returned to the field last year after a nearly two-decade hiatus. As Penn State fans wait to get revenge for a 3-point loss, the in-state battle has heated up off the field.
The latest shot was taken from a Pitt football Twitter account, which boasted about the five draft picks the Panthers had in the 2017 NFL Draft. Penn State had just one.

Wide receiver Chris Godwin — taken by Tampa Bay in the third round — was the only Nittany Lion selected in the 2017 draft. A few other Penn State products signed as undrafted free agents.
Though Penn State lacked draft picks this year, James Franklin’s program returns nearly every key player from a team that won the Big Ten title last season. One of the Nittany Lions’ three losses in 2016 came to Pitt at Heinz Field.
Penn State will host Pitt on Sept. 9 with payback on its mind. Only 18 more weeks, Nittany Lions fans.
