Bo Jackson. Deion Sanders. Mac Hippenhammer?
Hippenhammer, a 3-star wide receiver, sent his National Letter of Intent to James Franklin on Wednesday. But it appears he’ll join more than just the football team’s roster at Penn State.
Nittany Lions baseball coach Rob Cooper sent out a tweet welcoming Hippenhammer to his team, calling him a two-sport star.

Hippenhammer (6-foot-1, 170 pounds) has a profile on Prep Baseball Report, where he is listed as a shortstop.
The Fort Wayne, Ind., native was considered the No. 87 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports. Notre Dame made a late push to land him but he stuck with his commitment to the Nittany Lions.
