Penn State won the 2017 Fiesta Bowl over Washington on Saturday, so players naturally found coach James Franklin to shower him with Gatorade. He, uh, did not seem pleased.

Franklin attempted to chase down the culprit in the giant mess on the field after the game, but whoever dumped the Gatorade was able to slip back into the crowd and avoid the coach’s wrath. Franklin was likely doing this all in good fun, but the effort he put into accelerating forward and trying to get to whoever splashed him was indicative of some aggression. Let’s see that again in slow motion:

To be sure, Franklin wasn’t about to “fight” any of his players. If anything, though, they deserve a hand. Too often coaches see the Gatorade bath coming. Franklin looked genuinely surprised, among other things. After a bowl win, he probably should have seen this coming.
With the 35-28 win in Glendale, Ariz., Penn State’s final 2017 record is 11-2, with losses against Ohio State and Michigan State coming by a combined 4 points.
