Held each year in the lead up to the Rose Bowl, the Beef Bowl is held at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills. Penn State ate its meal on Wednesday night, with offensive lineman Derek Dowrey making the ceremonial first cut. USC invaded the restaurant the following night, and the two teams combined to consume 1,038 pounds of prime rib.
The Nittany Lions will try to beat the Trojans on the football field on Jan. 2.
