Penn State safety Troy Apke ran a 4.35 unofficially timed 40-yard dash on Monday at the NFL combine. His speed drew the eye of Deion Sanders, who was commenting on the broadcast while Apke blazed through.
Deion Sanders reaction to #PennState Troy Apke running a 4.35u is priceless.
“You know why I’m surprised. I can’t say it on TV!”

Sanders: He can run!
Why are you surprised, Deion?
Sanders: I can’t say it on TV, but he can run!
A sentence from Apke’s combine preview on NFL.com reads: “High school sprinter with decent straight-line speed.” That language might get a tweak after this run. Apke was no slouch as a high-school sprinter. He won the 100-meter dash in the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League championships as a senior and was recruited as a receiver before switching to safety at Penn State.
