Penn State releases depth chart for Week 1
Penn State head coach James Franklin released the official Penn State depth chart for Week 1 ahead of the team’s opener against Kent State on Saturday.
And there aren’t any big surprises.
The official depth chart can be seen here.
Franklin officially announced last Wednesday what everyone knew was coming: Trace McSorley is the team’s starting quarterback.
The Nittany Lions have Tyler Davis listed as the primary kicker, but according to StateCollege.com’s Ben Jones, Penn State may have multiple.
Tyler Davis is listed as the primary kicker but James Franklin has long alluded to separate field goal and kickoff specialists.

Despite being touted as one of the best running backs in the country, Franklin isn’t taking returning duties away from Saquon Barkley, who is listed as the team’s second kickoff returner.
