Penn State now has eight verbal commits in its 2018 class, tied with BYU for the most in the nation for next year’s class. The Nittany Lions signed 21 players to their 15th-ranked 2017 class on Wednesday.
The commitment came on James Franklin’s 45th birthday, a nice present for the Penn State head coach.
