Could Penn State be close to landing another talented wide receiver in its 2018 class? Things look promising between Daniel George and the Nittany Lions.
George, a 4-star wide receiver from Oxon Hill, Md., released his top 10 schools Sunday night and, not surprisingly, Penn State was on the list. The Nittany Lions had company from fellow Big Ten schools in Maryland and Wisconsin. Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Louisville were also on the list.

George (6-foot-1 1/2, 201 pounds) is rated as the No. 37 receiver and is among the top 200 recruits in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He visited Penn State in February and is planning a return visit, he told Land of 10’s Tyler Donohue last week.
“Penn State is pretty flashy,” George told Land of 10. “It’s a big name like the Alabamas and Ohio States, but it kind of has that small feeling when you go there. You won’t just get lost.”
George, whose 247Sports crystal ball heavily favors Penn State, could join an already loaded 2018 class for the Nittany Lions. Penn State currently has 13 verbal commits in the country’s second-ranked class, including one from 4-star wide receiver Justin Shorter.
