Penn State RB Saquon Barkley was rewarded Sunday for his career day against Purdue, earning CBS National Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore ran 18 times for a career-high 207 yards and 2 touchdowns while also catching three passes for 70 yards in the Nittany Lions’ 62-24 win over the host Boilermakers on Saturday.

He now has 888 yards and 10 touchdowns this season and has eclipsed 200 yards rushing in two of the last three games for Penn State (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten). The Nittany Lions have won four straight and are ranked 20th in the AP Top 25 and 23rd in the Coaches Poll.
