Saquon Barkley’s has had a dream for a very long time. And it appears he has finally achieved it.
The former Penn State star made a promise to his parents that he would someday buy them a house. Well, he’s got the means to do so after being picked No. 2 overall by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Take a look at his Instagram post:
“Something I promised my parents, ever since I was a young kid. Finally be able to achieve that goal is the most amazing feeling. Every kid out there that has a dream continue to keep your head down and work your butt off, great things will come along the way.,” the post read, along with a photo of Barkley standing next to a sold sign staked in a front yard.
If you’re Barkley’s parents, you have to be happy. Not only because of what appears to be a brand new home — which is awesome, of course. But also because your son is living out his dream.
And for him to be happy and capable to buy you a house, what more can a parent really ask for?
Maybe for Barkley to succeed at the next level. That would put the cherry on top.
And if you’re the New York Giants, you’d love to see the do-it-all back to be able to buy many houses in the future. That means that he’s doing well at the professional level.
Which is all the Giants are asking for.
