It’s always recruiting season in the world of college sports.
Football is certainly no different.
On Saturday, Penn State made an offer to a Class of 2019 cornerback.
That cornerback’s name? Joey Porter Jr.
Porter Jr. is the son of former Pittsburgh Steelers star Joey Porter, who played college football at Colorado State.

Porter Jr. is ranked by 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 68 cornerback in the country and is a 3-star recruit.
Taking out other recruiting site’s rankings, 247Sports has Porter Jr. as a 4-star recruit and the No. 19 cornerback in the country.
He also ranks as the top cornerback in Pennsylvania.
The 6-foot-2 prospect has 15 scholarship offers, including LSU, Maryland, Nebraska and Rutgers.
