Sometimes people take things too far.
But, if something can potentially save your job, what lengths would you go to in order to make it happen?
Well, for this particular NFL assistant coach, he would go to a great length if he got the opportunity to draft Penn State’s Saquon Barkley in the upcoming NFL draft.
An NFL coach told @mikefreemanNFL he "would punch myself in the nuts many, many, many times" to be able to draft Saquon Barkley.
Honestly, that's believable https://t.co/NoCIGuCPXt

This is a quite bizarre statement to throw out there if you’re an NFL coach. But again, if drafting the do-it-all man from Penn State can help save your job, maybe a punch or two would be worth it.
Barkley’s coach during his time at Penn State — James Franklin — saw the tweet and quote and responded:

Well, apparently Franklin would do even more than whichever coach that was. Whether Franklin was joking or not, the point is still the same.
Barkley is one heck of a football player. And, everybody knows it.
