Penn State football hasn’t had ESPN College GameDay come to University Park since 2009 and it’s safe to say the No. 3 Nittany Lions would like the huge college football show to come for their game against Michigan on Oct. 21.
To pull it off, they’re getting some help from the Penn State men’s basketball squad. The team’s Twitter account tweeted at GameDay host Rece Davis with a short and sweet message to try and get the show to Happy Valley.

Davis will be receiving some ice cream from Penn State’s Berkey Creamery courtesy of the Lions, who asked him to consider it as an appetizer before coming to campus for the main course.
Davis responded in kind.
Well this is awesome. Thank you!

To which hoops coach Pat Chambers responded.
Rece! Enjoy your special delivery but it definitely tastes better when you’re in Happy Valley! 🍨🔵⚪️

Chambers may not be wrong, as the lines for the creamery ice cream usually stretch a ways on gameday. Should he choose to come though, Davis will also be able to get a scoop inside Beaver Stadium, a service that started this year.
This coming week, Davis and GameDay are headed to James Madison where the No. 1 Dukes host Villanova in an FCS clash.
