Report: Penn State RB Andre Robinson seeking transfer
As Penn State football preps for the Fiesta Bowl against Washington, one of the team’s running backs is preparing to leave.
Junior Andre Robinson is seeking a transfer, according to a report by Andrew Callahan of 247Sports.com.
Robinson, who came in as a 4-star recruit alongside fellow Pennsylvania talent Saquon Barkley, has seen action in all 11 games this season and played in all 12 last year.
He tallied 141 yards on 29 attempts last year with a touchdown, but has just 55 yards on 9 carries this year as freshman Miles Sanders has absorbed a number of backup touches.
Robinson was listed as the backup along with Sanders and Mark Allen for much of the year, with Barkley getting the lions share of the carries.
Four-star running back Ricky Slade is also set to join the Lions next year and regardless of if Barkley stays or not, will join a crowded and talented backfield.
