5-star DE recruit Micah Parsons will visit Penn State this weekend for the Nittany Lions’ game against Georgia State, he announced on Twitter.

He won’t be alone. The Twitter handle he’s retweeting above belongs to Penn State WR commit Shaquon Anderson-Butts, a high school teammate.
“Micah and I grew up as close friends, and now we’re going through this process together,” Anderson-Butts told Land of 10’s Tyler Donohue in May. “We’ve pretty much played on the same team since we were like 4 years old. We trust each other on and off the field.”
Parsons, the No. 5 overall recruit in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, was committed to Penn State from February to April. Recruits don’t normally end up back at a school after they decommit, but Parsons seems to still be seriously considering Penn State. Anderson-Butts’s presence there can’t hurt.
Ohio State still remains a big factor in Parsons’ recruitment, though. He visited Columbus last weekend, where he tweeted that the Buckeyes should bench QB J.T. Barrett in favor of backup Dwayne Haskins. Parsons quickly took that back, but Urban Meyer says he was “made aware” of the Tweet.
