Maryland coach D.J. Durkin already voiced his disappointment in LB Isaiah Davis for his hit on Penn State kicker Joey Julius. Now he is giving Davis a one-game suspension.
Davis was ejected from Saturday’s loss at Penn State because of his hit. Durkin later said he would have taken Davis out of the game himself if he wasn’t ejected.
On Tuesday, Durkin gave Davis a one-game suspension. The Terrapins play Minnesota this Saturday, but Davis will not play.

It was the second week in a row a player was ejected for a hit on Julius. First it was Minnesota’s Jaylen Waters.
Julius had earlier gained attention for delivering big-time hits on kickoffs, including this one on Michigan’s Jourdan Lewis. Julius is listed as 5-foot-10, 258 pounds.
