James Franklin had some fun on Twitter earlier in the week to celebrate Penn State wrestling’s dual meet championship over Oklahoma State.
Franklin and other football coaching staff members donned wrestling singlets to a Monday team meeting.

It came in response to Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State’s football coach, who wore a singlet in a hype video leading up to the match.
Franklin was asked about the photo during an interview on “SportsCenter” earlier this week. The Nittany Lions head coach said he wanted to one up Gundy — a friend of his — and told viewers to be glad they didn’t get the full view.
“People were blowing me up on Twitter, saying ‘Coach, you gotta respond (to Gundy),’ ” Franklin said. “We thought we’d wait until the match was over. And we won. And we one up’d them. Instead of having one guy in a singlet, we had the whole staff in a meeting.
“I’ll tell you this: Be happy we were sitting down because 15 40-year-olds in wrestling singlets is not a good look. Trust me.”
