Hodges, 26, was a fourth-round pick (120th overall) by Minnesota in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played two-and-a-half seasons with the Vikings before he was traded to San Francisco during the 2015 campaign.
Hodges made at least 50 tackles in each of the last three seasons — including 83 combined stops and three sacks last year — and he also has three career interception and one touchdown. At Penn State, Hodges was a tackling machine, combining for 215 total tackles in his final two seasons in blue and white.
