Fox Sports names Penn State’s running back group among 10 best in nation
The Big Ten has produced some big-time running backs over the last decade.
But just one team appeared on Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman’s list of the 10 best running back groups in the country for this season — Penn State at No. 9.
The Nittany Lions backfield is led by sophomore back Saquon Barkley, who last season set a school record for rushing yards by a freshman with 1,076 yards in just 10 games. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry and routinely did things like this.
Behind him, Penn State will have Andre Robinson and Miles Sanders, both with freshman eligibility.
Here’s what Feldman had to say about the group.
[Barkley is] a special combination of explosive power and quickness. Andre Robinson is a redshirt freshman bowling ball who had an impressive spring showing off his power and soft hands. He, though, will be pushed hard by freshman Miles Sanders, a guy with fantastic change of direction.

10. North Carolina
9. Penn State
