Brent Wilkerson, a former Penn State tight end, was sentenced to five months probation Tuesday after pleading guilty to a charge of indecent assault.
He will also register as a sex offender.
According to the Associated Press, police say Wilkerson, who was apparently intoxicated, kissed and fondled a woman as she slept. He later apologized in a text message to the woman.
Wilkerson, who was supposed to be a cog in the Nittany Lions’ offense this year, was suspended when the allegations came out and later kicked off the team.
In two seasons at Penn State, he had eight catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.
