A former Nittany Lion has found a home in the NFL.
Sam Ficken, a Penn State kicker from 2011-14, has been signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars’ roster, the team announced on Monday afternoon.

A steady kicker for Penn State, Ficken scored 271 points and kicked a career-long, 54-yard field goal during his junior season. He will presumably compete against Jason Myers, the only other kicker on the Jaguars’ roster, for a job this fall.
Ficken was invited to the Kansas City Chiefs’ minicamp last year but was not signed by the team.
