Fresh off a standout senior season at Penn State, Carl Nassib has not slowed down so far in the NFL preseason.
With the Cleveland Browns, the defensive end has tallied four tackles and two sacks in his first three preseason games. With that kind of performance, Nassib was named the winner of the 2016 Maurice Bassett Award, which is given annually to the top Browns rookie in the preseason as voted by local media.

Nassib burst on the scene in 2015 with a sensational year at Penn State, where he totaled 15.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for a loss, and was named the Big Ten’s 2015 Defensive Player of the Year.
Nassib, who was taken in the third round (65th overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft, is hoping that string of success continues when the Browns start their regular season next weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles.
