Akeel Lynch was a fine running back for Penn State, averaging more than 5 yards per carry in a career that was marred by injuries.
But he knows he’s no Saquon Barkley, the Nittany Lions’ current star running back. Lynch tweeted during the Rose Bowl on Monday that the team needs to feed Barkley — that’s why he transferred in January of 2016, after all.
FEED 26! I transferred for a reason. ?

Lynch transferred to Nevada before this season but ended his year early because of concussions. He ran for 1,347 yards and 7 touchdowns in his collegiate career.
Barkley entered Monday having run for 2,378 yards (5.5 per carry) and 23 touchdowns in two seasons at Penn State.
