Oh, how the tables have turned.
Ohio State entered Saturday’s showdown with Penn State as the No. 2 team in the country, undefeated and hoping to stay that way. In Penn State”s only other game against a ranked team, it was demolished 49-10 at Michigan.
But following the Nittany Lions’ dramatic 24-21 win over Ohio State, it’s Penn State that ESPN projects as having a better chance to win out. Penn State has a 26-percent chance of going undefeated the rest of the way, while the Buckeyes have a 25.5-percent chance.
Entering this week, Penn State only had a 2.9-percent chance to do that, while Ohio State was at 26.8 percent. Penn State doesn’t face another team that is currently ranked.
Michigan still leads the Big Ten with a 40.6-percent chance to go undefeated in the regular season.
