Wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton played four memorable seasons at Penn State, capping off his career with a big game in the Nittany Lions’ 35-28 win over Washington in Saturday’s Fiesta Bowl. Hamilton hauled in five catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
It’s the second time Hamilton has recorded at least 800 receiving yards in a season, marking a successful end to a noteworthy career. Hamilton, for his part, won’t soon be forgetting his four years as a Nittany Lion. He sent this emotional tweet after the game.

Hamilton’s big game helped Penn State outgain the Huskies, 545-331. Quarterback Trace McSorley threw for 342 yards, and both of his touchdown passes were caught by Hamilton. Running back Saquon Barkley rushed 18 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns. The junior said afterwards he has not decided if he will declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.
