Chris Godwin made us wait, but in Week 17, in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ final game of the season, he scored the first TD of his NFL career.
The Buccaneers (4-11) were playing the New Orleans Saints (11-4) to close out its season, as the team had no chance of making the playoffs. With 15 seconds remaining in the game, down by 1 point, Godwin and the Buccaneers were on the Saints’ 39-yard-line with no timeouts.
Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston decided to go for it all, throwing a strike down the sideline to the former Penn State WR.

Godwin led all receivers in the game with 7 catches for 111 yards and his first TD. On the season, the 6-foot-1 rookie has caught 34 passes for 525 yards.
His Week 17 performance marked a career high in catches, yardage and scoring. Godwin was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
