Penn State kicker Joey Julius might physically resemble an offensive lineman, but don’t be deceived.
The program listed its starting place kicker at 5-foot-11 and an eye-popping 271 pounds on its updated roster. Last season, Julius weighed 259 pounds as a redshirt freshman.

Julius was relatively effective last season and quickly became a fan favorite in Happy Valley. He converted 10-of-12 field goal attempts and went 20-for-24 on point-after tries. He also has a pretty strong leg, averaging 61.96 yards per kickoff and booting 22 touchbacks.
Just don’t expect Julius to make many tackles on the kickoff team this season.
