Most 44-year-olds cannot dunk a basketball. Neither can most people who are 5-foot-11.
Those factors aren’t stopping Joey Galloway.
The former Ohio State wide receiver posted a video on his Instagram on Tuesday throwing down a one-handed jam. He used the caption “Just checking to make sure it’s still there at 44.”
Galloway’s hops and playmaking ability made for dozens of memorable moments for the Buckeyes and helped sustain a 16-year NFL career.
But Galloway also has roots on the hardwood. As a point guard at Bellaire High School, Galloway was an All-Ohio selection in basketball and a starter for a team that won three straight conference championships, according to his Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Hall of Fame entry.
Galloway, who will turn 45 in November, is entering his sixth season as a college football analyst for ESPN.
