SAN ANTONIO — 4-star defensive tackle Haskell Garrett committed to Ohio State in February of 2016, and did so sight unseen. Since then, the 6-foot-2, 290-pound Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) star has been as solidly committed to the Buckeyes as any player in Ohio State’s second-ranked recruiting class.
He hasn’t visited any other schools and has insisted that he’s 100-percent committed to Urban Meyer’s football program.
On Saturday, he reiterated that point. Garrett, like teammate and fellow Buckeyes commit Tyjon Lindsey, could only watch the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in the Alamodome because of a knee injury. Garrett arrived in Texas on Thursday to take in the last two days of activities.
Following the game, the nation’s fifth-ranked defensive tackle talked with Land of 10 about his injury and the next steps in his career.
