Urban Meyer’s son Nate will not be following his dad to Ohio State. He will instead enroll at his father’s alma mater, Cincinnati, where he’ll play baseball.
Nathan Meyer announced his commitment to the Bearcats on Monday night.

Urban Meyer was himself once a star shortstop, getting selected in the 13th round of the 1982 MLB Draft out of high school. He played two seasons in the Braves’ minor-league system, while also playing defensive back at Cincinnati during football season. He would go onto to attain his master’s degree at Ohio State.
Urban Meyer has three children. In addition to Nate, his daughters Nicole and Gisela have both played Division I volleyball, for Georgia Tech and Florida Gulf Coast, respectively.
