Football is right around the corner in Columbus, and that means the return of many Ohio State traditions.
Under head coach Urban Meyer, one of those traditions has become ‘Quick Cals,’ a neat effort to connect the players with the student body in the moments leading up to each home game at Ohio Stadium.
It appears Quick Cals will return for 2016, as Meyer tweeted a video Tuesday calling for students to be ready.
Students we are counting on YOU! We need you to be there for one of our greatest traditions on Saturday!! pic.twitter.com/z4BM7G1vE7

In case that video didn’t give you a good enough idea what Quick Cals are, here’s another:
The players line up facing the students in the south stands, and complete a series of hand movements accompanied by a few yells. While the merits of the tradition have been argued, it’s certainly a unique effort to get the students involved in the moments leading up to kickoff.
What do you think? Are you glad Quick Cals are back, or do you think it’s time for something new?
