COLUMBUS, Ohio — Urban Meyer announced Monday that defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle had surgery Sunday and is expected to miss the entire 2016 season with a patellar tendon injury.
When asked about the likelihood of Sprinkle playing in a bowl game, Meyer said it wasn’t likely. He added that he’ll know more Monday when the official results come back.
Sprinkle was injured in the first half of Ohio State’s 77-10 win against Bowling Green on Saturday and left in a cart. He posted on Twitter about the injury and his impending recovery.
