Urban Meyer pays tribute to 9/11 during Ohio State pep rally
Skull Session is a great Ohio State tradition, and Urban Meyer used it well this week.
The Buckeyes coach gave a tribute to the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks — the 15-year anniversary is Sunday.

Here’s his full quote.
“Tomorrow is September 11,” Meyer said. “Fifteen years ago, the unthinkable happened. On this day, our thoughts and prayers are with the families that were directly impacted. Also for the men and women who protect us every day who are in harm’s way, the men and women who serve in our military, and the men and women, who serve as public service people. Thank you very much for what you all do.
“One thing history proves to everybody. Nothing is guaranteed. A bunch of people walked into that building 15 years ago making dinner reservations, sending flowers to loved ones, and the world changed that day. History tells us there is no guarantee in life. What is guaranteed is this: we have a bunch of blessed young men behind me who get to play this great of football, and they get to play in front of you, the best fans in the land. Most importantly, they get to play with each other. They’re a group of players completely committed to our university. We’ll see you in a few hours. Let’s go get these guys!”
