When asked to pick a side in the Urban Meyer-Jim Harbaugh debate, Tom Herman surprised no one and stuck with his mentor.
But when asked on the Dan Patrick Show on Friday morning who would win an actual fight between the Ohio State and Michigan coaches, the current Houston coach and former Buckeyes offensive coordinator sounded like he is ready to put money on his old boss Meyer if it came down to it.
"Yes, absolutely he could. That's where my money would be. He would be the Vegas favorite." -Tom Herman on if Urban could take Harbaugh

It of course makes sense Herman would call Meyer “the Vegas favorite.” Herman’s career took off when he was offensive coordinator for the Buckeyes from 2012-14. Most notably, he helped lead Ohio State to the national championship in 2014, famously keeping the offense on track after starting QB Braxton Miller suffered a season-ending injury in camp and Heisman candidate J.T. Barrett broke his ankle in the Michigan game.
Now, Herman is the first name on everyone’s mind as the coaching carousel heats up. His Cougars are currently 5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
