“I want to thank every coach that has recruited me,” James wrote on Twitter. “It has been a long process and I’ve had great support with me like my coaches, my family and my friends. I’ve been dreaming of a day like this since I was a little kid and it has finally come true.”
James (6-foot-1, 211 pounds) is rated as the No. 142 overall recruit and the No. 8 running back in the 247Sports composite rating system. He joins 4-star tackle Doug Nester and 3-star tackle Ryan Jacoby in the Buckeyes’ 2019 class.
From Avon, Ind., James picked Ohio State over Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State and others. Below are the highlights from his junior season of high school.
