Shazier spent nearly two months in the hospital after undergoing spinal stabilization surgery shortly after his injury. He’s continuing his rehab process through an outpatient program. The former Ohio State linebacker got hurt while trying to make a take on Dec. 4 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Shazier made another public appearance Thursday, too. He and his fiance, Michelle, attended some first-round NCAA Tournament action in Pittsburgh.

Shazier will not play for the Steelers in the 2018 season, but he will still be a part of the team, according to owner Kevin Colbert. Shazier spent the first four years of his career with the Steelers.
Shazier is also scheduled to return to Ohio State this spring. Shazier and fellow former Buckeye Malcolm Jenkins will be Ohio State’s honorary captains during the program’s spring game on April 14.
