“My path has been filled with great moments and many obstacles but my dream has remained the same,” Hickman wrote on Twitter. “…Thank You to all the College Coaches that have taken their time and interest to recruit me. With God’s wil and Blessings, along with hard work and dedication my dream has come true. I will be continuing my education and football career for the next four years at The Ohio State University.”
Hickman, from Wayne, N.J., is rated as a 4-star recruit and the No. 124 overall player in the 2019 class, per the 247Sports composite ratings.
Likely a safety at the collegiate level, the 6-foot-1 Hickman posted Ohio State in his top six schools earlier this month and has taken multiple visits to the Buckeyes’ campus. Land of 10’s Ryan Donnelly broke down Hickman’s recruitment here.
Hickman, who is at Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ 2018 spring game, is the fourth verbal commit in Meyer’s 2019 class.
