Report: Former Ohio State basketball assistant returning to Buckeyes
A familiar face will be rejoining Thad Matta’s staff at Ohio State.
Alan Major, an assistant with the Buckeyes’ basketball team from 2004-10, has been hired as the team’s Director of Player Development, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

After serving as an assistant with the Buckeyes, Major spent four seasons as the head coach at UNC Charlotte. Major had a 67-70 record with the 49ers before stepping away during the 2014-15 season with health-related problems.
