Lately it has been the Ohio State football team on the receiving end of good news. On Saturday, it was the basketball team.

Bazley, a 4-star recruit according to 247Sports, is one of the top players in Ohio. He was also being recruited by Xavier, Cincinnati, and others.
Ahrens, whose brother, Kyle, plays at Michigan State, received an offer from the Buckeyes Thursday.
“It just feels like home,” Ahrens told Landof10. “I loved everything about Ohio State and I wanted to make it happen. I feel like I fit really well there, too.”
To that end, Ahrens said that Matta expects him on the floor for the Buckeyes, not the bench.
“He really thinks I could have an instant impact he’s not recruiting me just to be a 11th or 12th man,” Ahrens said. “Mainly my athleticism and height and the ability to shoot the ball—that’s what he sees in me.”
And his brother’s reaction?
“He is so happy for me. He supports me no matter what.”
The duo joins 3-star prospect Dane Goodwin in the Buckeyes’ 2018 class.
